Mr. Mohammed Saeed is a highly experienced general and colorectal surgeon treating a wide range of disorders including colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, gallstones, and hernias. He specializes in haemorrhoidal artery ligation surgery, sportsman's hernia, and metabolic response to sepsis. After graduating from the University of Manchester in 1988, he undertook surgical training in Manchester hospitals and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1992. He completed specialist training in colorectal surgery and was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) research degree from the University of Manchester in 1999. In 2001, he was appointed Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at Stepping Hill, where he is now the Clinical Lead for Colorectal Cancer Surgery and Head of the Department of Endoscopy. Mr. Saeed routinely performs the HALO operation (minimally invasive surgery for haemorrhoids) and is a trainer for this technique.
