Mr. Maxim Horwitz is a Consultant Hand Surgeon working closely with a team of Hand Therapists and fellowship-trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. Mr. Horwitz was educated and trained in South Africa and London, UK, completing training in Orthopaedics and Trauma in London. He then travelled to Sydney, Australia, as the Pulvertaft Fellow of the British Society of Hand Surgery. He undertook a fellowship in children's hand conditions at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and an AO fellowship in Trauma in Salzburg, Austria. Mr. Horwitz specializes in advanced techniques in managing complex hand and upper limb trauma, wrist and hand arthritis, the treatment of congenital hand deformity, complex nerve injuries, and microsurgery. His interests also include the management of the hand and upper limb in children with cerebral palsy. Mr. Horwitz has been awarded the BSSH postgraduate diploma in hand surgery and is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association. He has published many book chapters and scientific papers related to hand surgery. His areas of expertise include hand and upper limb trauma management, tendon and carpal tunnel surgery, fracture fixation, arthritis (hand), hand deformities, hand problems, hand pain, fractures, sports injuries, and Dupuytren's contracture.
