Professor Kaveh Shakib holds qualifications in both Dentistry (University of Birmingham) and Medicine (University College London) and has also received a Doctorate in Molecular Medicine from UCL. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) since 2006 and received a Specialist Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2010. Following his graduation, Prof Shakib trained and worked with leading UK universities and healthcare providers. Additionally, he holds FDS fellowships from both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Glasgow, having received numerous academic and research awards during his training. With an impressive academic career, Prof Shakib teaches, examines, and mentors specialist trainees. He is also a presenter at scientific meetings and frequently publishes articles in scientific journals. A proponent of research and the importance of training, he is an examiner at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a board member reviewer for the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and other medical publications. His expertise covers all aspects of diseases affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and neck. His expertise includes removal of impacted wisdom teeth, skin cancer surgery, facial and jaw deformity, orthognathic surgery, salivary gland surgery, facial trauma, facial reconstruction, micro-vascular free flaps, and dental implants with bone augmentation.
