Mr. Greg O'Toole is a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon, co-leading the renowned Ear Reconstruction Service, which treats congenital and traumatic deformities of the ear. It is the largest department in Europe for treating microtia in adults and children, with excellent surgical outcomes. Mr. O'Toole trained in Oxford and Sydney and completed his Royal College of Surgeons Plastic Surgery qualification (FRCS Plast). He undertook a two-year fellowship in Paris and was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) for his research on gene therapy in surgery.Mr. O'Toole introduced the ‘EarStitch' procedure for prominent ear correction surgery and performs up to 200 EarFold and EarStitch procedures annually. He is also involved in earlobe reductions and revision otoplasty. Actively engaged in research, his work is widely published in medical literature, and he frequently speaks at international conferences and lectures trainee doctors in plastic surgery. Philanthropically, he operates on patients in underprivileged communities in India, Polynesian Islands, and Cambodia, and has worked in Thailand and Malaysia. He is a full member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons (BAPRAS), a founding member of the International Society of Ear Reconstruction (ISAR), a fellow of the European Board of Plastic Surgeons (EBOPRAS), and is on the UK Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery. In 2012, he was included in The Times list of international experts for his work in plastic surgery and has appeared on "Embarrassing Bodies" and "The One Show".
