Mr Gidon Ellis is a Consultant Urological Surgeon working at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. He has a broad general urology practice and has subspecialist interest in the ureteroscopic management of kidney stones, HoLEP for BPH (laser prostate surgery) and endoscopic management of bladder and upper tract urothelial cancers. He is a core member of the bladder cancer, renal cancer, and kidney stone multi-disciplinary teams.
Mr Ellis ranked first in the UK National Selection process in 2012 and completed his higher urological training in London. He spent a year working at the Institute of Urology, University College London Hospitals subspecialising in endourology and the treatment of kidney stones. He received The Urology Foundation Endourology Travelling Fellowship Award. After his specialist training, Mr Ellis undertook a Fellowship position at Luton and Dunstable Hospital. Here he subspecialised in laser prostate surgery (HoLEP), for the management of voiding difficulties and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men.
Mr Ellis has also served as a faculty member on both national and international workshops and masterclasses in kidney stone management and HoLEP surgery.
