Mr George Fayad has been the Governor of the International College of Surgeons since his election to the position on the 4th of December 2008. Mr Fayad has extensive knowledge with 20 plus years as an Ear, Nose & Throat Consultant.

Mr Fayad is a recognised leader in the development of ground breaking surgical techniques including nasal titanium implants, which aid breathing, and Incisionless ear pinning. He also has extensive experience (Adult and Paediatric) of diagnosing and treating a wide range of ENT medical conditions including: snoring and sleep disorders, vertigo and balance issues as well as general conditions of the ear, nose and throat.

In addition to his private practice, Mr Fayad is the lead rhinologist and chairman of the ENT department at the Basildon and Thurrock NHS University Hospitals. He is responsible for the allergy clinic at Basildon Hospital where they led the way in establishing a multidisciplinary unit for dealing with patients suffering from combinations of nasal polyps, allergies and asthma. The Unit is the first one to offer cures to conditions rather than simply treating them. He has on-going involvement in many research and audit projects and speaks fluent English, French, Dutch and Arabic.
