About
Clive Lathey is a Consultant Osteopath based in London. After graduating from the British School of Osteopathy in 1983, he worked in Australia, New Zealand and Spain before returning to London. In 2009 he completed a Master's degree in Sports Medicine and Sports Science at Surrey University and completed a dissertation in golf biomechanics.
Mr Lathey spent eight years working in a leading physiotherapy sports rehabilitation clinic, treating many top athletes from England rugby, athletics and premiership football teams. He also worked with Colin Montgomerie, a top golfer, travelling with him to events including the Ryder Cup and US Masters tournament in Augusta, USA.
More recently, he has worked with the Saudi Arabian Olympic team, Liverpool football club, a number of professional tennis players and tri-athletes. He has also worked at both the London and Rio Olympics in 2012 and 2016. As well as treating sportsmen and athletes, Mr Lathey has looked after the cast and production members for a number of West End theatre productions including Oliver, Richard 111, The Weir, Cyrano de Bergerac and more recently To Kill a Mocking Bird.
He lectures regularly at musculoskeletal conferences, mostly in spinal and sports injuries. He also writes for various medical publications and has done talks and demonstrations for a live medical TV channel, the Academy of Physical Medicine.
Mr Lathey has a specialist interest in exercise rehabilitation, injury prevention and performance. He takes a structural approach to treatment using massage, manipulation, mobilisation, neuromuscular techniques and rehabilitation exercises. He is also qualified in acupuncture dry needling and electrotherapy.
He runs and owns a large multidisciplinary clinic in a GP centre in Putney, as well as working at the HCA GP centre in Sloane Square.
