Mr. Chris Anderson is a well-respected Consultant Urologist. He specializes in renal and prostate cancer, offering a variety of therapies to his clients. Mr. Anderson has extensive experience in minimally invasive procedures such as robotic and laparoscopic surgery, which reduce pain and infection risk and enhance patient recovery time. He was awarded his medical degree in South Africa and moved to the UK in 1997 to continue his training in urology across London hospitals, including Charing Cross and The Middlesex. He was appointed Consultant in 1999 and began focusing on minimally invasive surgeries. Mr. Anderson completed fellowships at the renowned Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, gaining invaluable experience in laparoscopic renal surgery. He set up a tertiary referral service and was the first urologist in the UK to introduce renal cryotherapy in 2004. His team introduced robotic surgery in 2005, and he continues to have a keen interest in this area. Mr. Anderson remains heavily involved in research and has had numerous journals published. He has presented at conferences at a national level, including the British Association of Urological Surgeons annual meeting. His expertise includes robotic surgery (prostatectomy, cystoprostatectomy, cystectomy), PSA assessment, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), UroLift, scrotal/genital surgery, vasectomy, circumcision, urinary incontinence treatment (male and female), urodynamics, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, benign prostate hyperplasia, and haematuria.
