Mr Andrew Forester is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon working for the Imperial College Healthcare Trust. He qualified from the University of Leicester in 1984, before taking his higher surgical training in Northwest Thames. He was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in Trauma and Upper Limb Surgery between the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, Hammersmith Hospital and Central Middlesex Hospital, London and then took up a consultant post at Imperial College Healthcare at Charing Cross Hospital, West London.
After qualification Mr Forester studied Design and Engineering with the Open University to understand better Orthopaedic principles. He later continued his studies completing a Diploma in French in 2001.
Mr Forester sees patients with all common shoulder and elbow conditions. His main area of interest includes minimally invasive treatment/arthroscopic surgery, particularly for frozen shoulder, stiff elbow, rotator cuff pathology and instability. He is an expert in upper limb reconstructive procedures, including joint replacement surgery, and offers a full range of both open and arthroscopic management.
Mr Forester is actively involved in teaching and training of surgical residents and general practitioners. He is a member of the Faculty of Examiners for the Royal College of Surgeons at Edinburgh and takes an active part in post-graduate training.
In his spare time Mr Forester enjoys sailing his Dart 16 catamaran, cycling, tennis, snowboarding (badly), DIY and gardening. He particularly enjoys taking Kevin his collie campervanning with his wife Rachael.
