Miss Bareen Shah, a Consultant Breast Surgeon based in London, UK, graduated from Charing Cross Medical School and pursued her training on the Westminster surgical rotation. She then specialized in breast and endocrine surgery.
Currently serving on the Section of Surgery Committee at the RSM and having held the position of ex-president of the Royal Society of Medicine's clinical section, Miss Shah is deeply committed to teaching both undergraduates and postgraduates. She is an enthusiastic surgical educator and is actively involved in the Steering Group for surgery with the London Cancer Alliance.
With a specific focus on thyroid and parathyroid surgery, including the management of complex recurrent disease and minimally invasive parathyroidectomy, Miss Shah also oversees rapid access diagnostic clinics at The London Breast 108 Harley Street, The Clementine Churchill Hospital Harrow, and The BUPA Cromwell Hospital, emphasizing early presentation.
Beyond her medical pursuits, Miss Shah enjoys gardening and cooking. She holds memberships in professional organizations such as ASGBI, RSM, ESSO, BAETS, and The RCS. Her FRCS is from London, and she completed her undergraduate training at Charing Cross Hospital.
Miss Shah's expertise encompasses a range of medical treatments, including thyroid surgery, parathyroid surgery, and breast and endocrine surgery, addressing both benign and malignant breast diseases.
