Miss Adeola Olaitan is a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist with extensive experience in the care of women with gynaecological cancers. Alongside her NHS role, she sees patients privately at The Harley Street Clinic and The Platinum Medical Centre specialising in the diagnosis and surgical management of cancers affecting women. She focuses on using minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic surgery where clinically appropriate and is also accredited in colposcopy, supporting comprehensive assessment and management of cervical abnormalities.
She qualified MB BS from the University of London in 1987. Following training in general obstetrics and gynaecology, she completed a subspecialty Fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology at St Michael's Hospital, further refining her expertise in complex cancer care.
In 2002, Miss Olaitan was appointed Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist at University College Hospital London, where she has also served as Clinical Lead of the Gynaecological Cancer Centre.
An active contributor to academic medicine, she is currently an Honorary Senior Lecturer and has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, reflecting her ongoing commitment to research, education and advancing standards in gynaecological oncology.
