Miss Maya Al-Memar is a Consultant Gynaecologist with specialist expertise in complex benign gynaecology, acute and early pregnancy care, and rapid-access assessment for suspected gynaecological cancer. She also has a strong clinical interest in paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, supporting patients across a wide range of ages with sensitive, individualised care.
She graduated with first-class honours from Imperial College School of Medicine, University of London, in 2007, earning her MB BS, and later completed her PhD at Imperial College. Miss Al-Memar holds MRCOG and is currently an Honorary Clinical Lecturer, reflecting her ongoing commitment to academic medicine and education.
Her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology was completed in North-West London, with experience at leading tertiary centres including Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Working within one of London’s largest gynaecology and reproductive medicine services has given her extensive experience in managing complex and high-risk cases.
A key focus of Miss Al-Memar’s practice is delivering personalised, efficient care, using advanced diagnostic ultrasound to improve accuracy and streamline patient pathways. She is widely published in peer-reviewed journals and continues active research in early pregnancy, miscarriage, ovarian cysts, and the use of ultrasound to enhance the diagnosis of ovarian masses.
