Mr. Hamish Clouston is a Colorectal and Peritoneal Surgeon with a specialist interest in tumors within the colon, rectum, and appendix. He has extensive experience performing cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, as well as surgery for advanced colorectal malignancy, including multivisceral rectal and colonic resections. He is a core member of various multidisciplinary teams, performing surgery for early and recurrent anal cancers and primary and metastatic neuroendocrine cancers. After graduating from the University of Liverpool Medical School in 2006, he undertook postgraduate surgical training in Liverpool and the Northwest (Manchester) Deanery. He completed his Doctorate in Medicine (MD) in 2016 at the Paterson Institute and attained his Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons in 2017. Mr. Clouston is actively involved in clinical research, with a particular interest in finding biomarkers for the development of venous thrombosis after colorectal surgery. His areas of expertise include cytoreductive surgery, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, multivisceral rectal and colonic resections, anal cancer surgery, surgery for neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), hernia repair surgery, colorectal cancer, anal cancers, peritoneal cancer, peritoneal metastases, colorectal and appendix neoplasms, and gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumors.
