Professor Francesca Morgante is an experienced Consultant Neurologist, Professor of Neurology, and the Eleanor Peel Chair for the Study of Ageing at St George’s University of London (SGUL). She is an Honorary Consultant Neurologist at SGUL where she leads the Advanced Movement Disorders Therapies Team. She also sees private patients at The Lister Hospital. Within SGUL, she leads the Movement Disorders research team and co-leads the Neuromodulation research group alongside Mr. Erlick Pereira. Her research focuses on individuals with Movement Disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease, Tremor Syndromes, and Dystonia. Professor Morgante is dedicated to unraveling the neural mechanisms of these disorders and translating her findings into the development of innovative invasive and non-invasive neuromodulation treatments. She has authored over 180 papers in peer-reviewed journals and contributed numerous chapters to books dedicated to Movement Disorders. She also serves as one of the Associate Editors of the Movement Disorders Journal and holds positions on the editorial boards of Movement Disorders, Movement Disorders Clinical Practice, European Journal of Neurology, and Journal of Neurology.
