Miss Eleni Maratos is a consultant neurosurgeon specializing in skull base tumors, pituitary disease, facial pain, degenerative spine conditions, spinal tumors, and brain and spinal trauma.
She has a robust academic background, holding a master's degree in pharmacology with distinction and a PhD in neuropharmacology, both from King's College, University of London. She qualified in medicine with distinction in 2004 and was ranked first nationally in the neurosurgery training selection. Her specialist fellowship training includes complex spine surgery at Atkinson Morley, St. George’s Hospital, and skull base and pituitary surgery at King’s College Hospital, recognized by the Royal College of Surgeons.
Currently, Miss Maratos is a substantive consultant neurosurgeon at The Harley Street Clinic.
Miss Maratos is actively involved in research, with her work widely published. She has authored several book chapters in academic textbooks and contributed to numerous peer-reviewed journals.
As a leading educator in neurosurgery, she is regularly invited to present at national and international conferences. She is a regular faculty member with Dendritic Training, coaching professionals on presentation skills and course development. She teaches on national and international courses, including the Stryker Neurosurgery Academy's skull base section and King’s College Hospital's endoscopy in neurosurgery lecture and cadaveric workshop. She has also established her own training course, "Hit the Ground Running in Your Fellowship," which has received 100% feedback scores on the net promoter score.
