Dr Sonny Chong is a Consultant Paediatrician, specialising in paediatric general medicine and paediatric gastroenterology. His special interests include chronic inflammatory bowel disease, cyclic vomiting syndrome, recurrent abdominal pain and hepatitis B and C. He treats a range of nutritional problems and sees children with severe constipation, gastroesophageal reflux (GORD) and oesophagitis, coeliac disease. Dr Chong has an NHS base at Queen Mary's Hospital for Children, at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust and he also sees patients privately. 

Dr Chong also participates in and conducts research into coeliac disease, eosinophilic oesophagitis and Crohn's disease. He holds memberships of the American and European Socieity for Paediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, the American Gastroenterological Assocation and the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease.
