About

Mr Simon Eccles is a highly skilled Consultant Plastic and Craniofacial Surgeon, based in Central London. With a wealth of experience in both reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery, he specialises in craniofacial procedures and surgeries for the face, nose and eyelids.

After earning a degree in Dentistry from the Royal London Hospital Dental School in 1985, Mr Eccles worked as a maxillofacial surgeon for two years. He went on to study medicine at the Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, qualifying in 1992. In 1995, he received his Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS).

Mr Eccles continued his training in plastic surgery, with a focus on craniofacial and head and neck surgery. He was awarded the McGregor medal by the Royal College of Surgeons for his exceptional performance in the FRCS (Plast) examination. He was appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at both Charing Cross Hospital and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in 2006, before moving to Great Ormond Street Hospital in March 2020 as part of the plastic surgery and craniofacial teams. He continues to treat patients in his private practice.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Eccles holds several prestigious positions in the industry. He is the Secretary and Head of Professional Standards for the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), as well as a member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS). He was registered on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery in 2004.

Mr Eccles is also passionate about giving back and works with the charity 'Facing the world' to teach plastic surgeons and provide treatment to children in Vietnam. He has completed over 12 missions with the charity.
