Dr. Swayne is an experienced neurologist who studied medicine at Cambridge University and was awarded a PhD in neuroscience from UCL. He spent a year studying brain plasticity after stroke. Dr. Swayne is interested and experienced in all aspects of general neurology, including headache, epilepsy, MS, and stroke, with a specialist interest in neurorehabilitation. He has published multiple original papers and book chapters on the control of movement by the brain and the role of brain plasticity in post-stroke recovery. Dr. Swayne is also experienced in assessing symptoms such as funny turns, tremor, and sensory disturbances. His areas of expertise include neurorehabilitation, stroke, acute neurology, headache, movement disorders, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis.
