Miss Hunter graduated from the University of Cambridge and trained for over 10 years in plastic and reconstructive surgery in Cambridge, London and Australia. In 2011, she attained her FRCS (Plast) and in 2013, her specialist registration in plastic surgery. She has been a Senior Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeon at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust since January 2015 where she holds a senior teaching post.
She has a special interest in all forms of breast surgery, specialising in free tissue transfer, DIEP Flap breast reconstruction, and TUG Flap breast reconstruction, she has performed around 300 DIEP Flap breast reconstructions over the past few years, thus finessing her cosmetic surgery work in her private practice, for which she is known for her natural results. Miss Hunter has performed around 1000 breast reductions over the last few years; she also regularly performs mastopexies (breast uplift); breast augmentation (breast enlargement) - both implants and fat transfer; augment mastopexy (breast enlargement and uplift) and removal of implants and capsulectomies & exchange. Miss Hunter also regularly performs body contouring surgery, including abdominoplasty (tummy tuck); brachioplasty (arm lift) and inner thigh lift, combining these procedures with liposuction.
Miss Hunter has undertaken three microsurgery fellowships, at the Royal Marsden and St Thomas's Hospitals in London and a year in Australia, for which she was awarded the Ellison-Cliffe Travelling Fellowship from the Royal Society of Medicine. Miss Hunter carried out her research degree into the early detection of skin cancer and is a Senior Consultant for SkinHealth UK.
