About

Mr Ian Chilcott completed his medical degree at the University of London, graduating in 1993. Since 2005, he has been a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist within The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Trust, specialising in laparoscopic, or keyhole, surgery. Hillingdon Hospital is an extremely busy district general hospital that sees the birth of five thousand babies a year. Mr Chilcott has varied tasks, including gynaecology clinics, antenatal clinics, gynaecological operations and managing the labour ward.

Mr Chilcott is highly competent at performing procedures such as endometrial resection and laparoscopic hysterectomy. He also has expertise in providing care throughout straightforward and complicated pregnancy cases, including during delivery and the post-natal period. His private practice is based at The Portland Hospital in Central London.

Additionally, Mr Chilcott has an active role in teaching. He is recognised as being qualified to deliver training to Specialist Registrars in Gynaecological surgery and Obstetrics. He is also a tutor for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, with overall responsibility for the training of all junior doctors within the gynaecological department at Hillingdon Hospital.
