Dr Ghada Mikhail

Ghada Mikhail is an Interventional Cardiology Consultant and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer. She leads the Cardiac Catheter Lab and established the TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) programme in 2008. Ghada also directs the annual Imperial Valve and Cardiovascular Meeting (IVCC) and continues to engage in academic research, publishing widely and presenting at national and international cardiology meetings.Ghada sees patients with general cardiovascular problems, including hypertension and hyperlipidaemia. She treats coronary heart disease, performing coronary angiography and angioplasty, and manages valvular heart disease, having performed the TAVI procedure since 2008. She has a special interest in cardiovascular disease in women.Ghada's areas of expertise include interventional and general cardiology, coronary artery disease, coronary angiography, angioplasty, valvular heart disease, and the TAVI procedure. She also focuses on cardiovascular disease in women. She performs various procedures and tests such as TAVI (Transcatheter aortic valve implantation), coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty, permanent pacemaker implantation, aortic valvuloplasty, ECG, 24-hour ECG monitoring, echocardiogram, stress echocardiogram, cardiac MRI, CT coronary angiogram, endomyocardial biopsy, and treats heart valve problems, coronary artery disease, chest pain/angina, and cardiovascular disease in women.
