Dushyant Maradia

Dr Dushyant Maradia is a Consultant Cardiologist working at North Middlesex University Hospital and Northway Clinic. His specialist practice includes advanced cardiac imaging and the management of a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, with particular expertise in transthoracic, transoesophageal, and stress echocardiography, coronary artery disease, lipid disorders including familial hypercholesterolaemia, hypertension, syncope, and cardiac arrhythmias.

He completed his medical degree and training in general cardiology and non-invasive cardiac imaging at Iuliu Hațieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Romania in 2007, before undertaking further specialist training in advanced echocardiography. Dr Maradia was appointed Consultant Cardiologist in 2016, during which time he has established a dedicated valve clinic and contributed to the development of an acute cardiology service within the emergency department.

Dr Maradia provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic assessments, including echocardiography, stress echocardiography, electrocardiography, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, 24-hour ECG monitoring, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. His clinical expertise covers angina, acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, atrial fibrillation, tachycardia, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, valvular heart disease affecting the aortic, mitral, and tricuspid valves, pulmonary hypertension, adult congenital heart disease, congestive heart failure, dizziness and fainting, heart murmurs, chest pain, variable blood pressure, and long Covid. He also undertakes cardiovascular assessment prior to initiation of ADHD medication and provides preventive cardiology services.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Maradia is actively involved in medical education, teaching junior doctors, consultants from other specialties, and visiting clinicians from developing countries. He also supports awareness initiatives for heart valve disease through involvement with Heart Valve Voice.

He holds membership with the European Society of Cardiology, British Cardiovascular Society, British Junior Cardiologists’ Association, British Medical Association, British Society of Echocardiography, and British Society of Cardiovascular CT.
