Dr Deven Patel is a Consultant Cardiologist, appointed as an NHS consultant in 1999 to Barnet, Chase Farm and The Royal Free hospitals and has been the Head of Cardiology at Barnet and Chase Farm since 2007. He also sees patients privately at a number of locations. Dr Patel has trained in all aspects of cardiology but has specialised in the last 14 years in coronary angiography, intervention and stenting, with an interest in complex coronary intervention using Rotablation and intravascular ultrasound. 

Dr Patel trained in medicine at Middlesex Hospital, London, undertaking cardiology training at The Royal Free, Hillingdon, Royal Brompton, and Harefield Hospitals. He has also undertaken considerable research in the diagnosis and risk stratification of coronary artery disease and acute coronary syndromes, including acute myocardial infarction, while also developing an expertise in undertaking coronary angiography and stenting via the arm using the radial artery.
