Dr Chrissie Yu, Consultant Obstetrician and Expert in Maternal and Foetal Medicine, currently works within the London North West Healthcare Trust. She also sees patients privately at the Portland Hospital in London. She is highly experienced in all aspects of maternal medicine and obstetrics with a specific interest in medical disorders of both mother and baby and high-risk pregnancies. She is also highly competent in performing complex invasive procedures like amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling. She offers her services to women throughout their reproductive life from early teenage years to menopause and beyond. Her daily work-life consist of performing cervical smears, pelvic scans, sexual health advice and contraception consultations. Her hard work has been acknowledged through the numerous excellent reviews she has received from previous patients.

Dr Yu graduated from the University of London in 1994 with her degree in medicine, before going on to do specialist training in gynaecology and obstetrics. She has gained invaluable experience during her 20 years as a consultant, including the fellowship she underwent in 2016 with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Dr Yu continues to be a very active member of the research community, publishing extensively on pre-eclampsia. During her training, she undertook a research degree at the University of London, she was awarded an MD for her outstanding work.
