Asjid Qureshi

Dr Asjid Qureshi is a Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes, providing specialist care across both NHS and private practice, including work at North West London Trust in Harrow and private consultations at The Wellington Hospital and The Harley Street Clinic. His clinical practice spans the full range of endocrine conditions, including disorders of the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, and parathyroid glands, alongside diabetes and insulin resistance.

He completed his medical degree at the University of Edinburgh in 1992 before undertaking specialist endocrinology training across multiple London centres. During this period, Dr Qureshi developed a strong academic interest in metabolic and hormonal disorders and was awarded an MD in 2006 for research into obesity and polycystic ovarian syndrome. He has since secured multiple research grants and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr Qureshi’s expertise includes male and female hormone disorders, with particular focus on polycystic ovarian syndrome, as well as pituitary function testing, adrenal and thyroid disease, diabetes, insulin resistance, obesity, and general internal medicine. His academic and clinical contributions have led to appointments as College Tutor and Training Programme Director at Northwick Park Hospital. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2009 and has since served on several NHS and deanery committees.

He is a member of the Society for Endocrinology and Diabetes UK and holds the qualifications MBBCh, MD, and FRCP.
