Dr Ghazi graduated from St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College, University of London, in 1996. He completed his post-graduate training in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine on the Imperial West London rotation and a Fellowship in Pain Medicine at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London. His fellowship included experience in neuromodulation, spinal cord stimulation, pelvic pain, and cancer pain, and was further supplemented by additional training in facial pain and cancer pain in the USA and Europe.

In 2010, Dr Ghazi was appointed Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at Whipps Cross University Hospital, Barts Health Trust, where he served as Clinical Lead for Pain Services. In 2014, he joined the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, continuing in the role of Clinical Lead for Pain Services.

Dr Ghazi has lectured both nationally and internationally and has numerous publications in pain journals and textbooks.

His professional roles include Secretary of the Interventional Pain Special Interest Group of the British Pain Society, Treasurer of the UK Section of the World Institute of Pain, and Examiner for the Fellowship of Interventional Pain Practice at the World Institute of Pain, USA. He is also a member of the Examination Advisory Committee for the Fellowship Faculty Pain Medicine at the Royal College of Anaesthetists, UK, Pain Education Tutor and Module Organiser for the London Deanery, and Examiner for MBBS at UCL University London. Additionally, he is a Senior Clinical Lecturer, Faculty member of the Society Ultrasound in Anaesthesia, London, and Pain Medical Advisor for the National Transverse Myelitis Society, UK.
