Dr. Agata Grasso is a qualified and experienced Consultant Cardiologist. Trained in Italy and London's Hammersmith Hospital, Dr. Grasso completed her MD research project in cardiac imaging and heart failure, and obtained her specialisation in cardiology. She expanded her experience in heart failure, valve disease, and cardiac imaging at Pitie' Salpetriere in Paris. Dr. Grasso has worked in various roles, including Consultant Cardiologist in Alba (Turin, Italy) and at the Royal Brompton within the CMR department and cardiomyopathy/heart failure clinics. In 2013, she was appointed Consultant Cardiologist with an interest in imaging and heart failure. Dr. Grasso is passionate about her work and prioritizes putting the patient at the center of every discussion and decision concerning their condition and treatment. Her areas of expertise include adult echocardiography, bubble study, stress echocardiogram with exercise and/or catecholamines, contrast echocardiogram, TOE (trans-oesophageal echocardiogram), CMR (cardiac MRI), electrocariological monitors, blood pressure monitor, electrocardiogram (ECG), all aspects of cardiac management, heart failure (dysfunction of the heart function - systolic and diastolic dysfunction), valve disease, ischaemic heart disease (chest pain, shortness of breath), imaging (echocardiogram, stress echo, trans-oesophageal echo, bubble study, cardiac MRI), cardiomyopathy, palpitation, hypertension, and LV/RV assessment.
