About
Mr Cheka R. Spencer is a consultant ENT Surgeon at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr Cheka Spencer graduated from King's College School of Medicine (then known as Guy's, King's and St Thomas' School of Medicine). He has over a decade's experience as an ENT surgeon. His specialty training took him from London to the West Midlands. He trained under several internationally renowned surgeons at several centres of excellence. These include The Royal Marsden, St George's Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Birmingham and Birmingham Children's Hospital. He is is fluent in English and French and speaks Spanish at a conversational level.
He now works at the Royal Free as a Consultant ENT Surgeon with a special interest in Rhinology, Facial Plastics and Paediatric ENT. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has a Masters from the Institute of Epidemiology and Public Health at University College London. He is passionate about global health/humanitarianism and connecting organisations around the world to create communities of engaged, informed and trained specialists.
Another passion of his is training and medical education. He holds a teaching qualification for which he was awarded a distinction and Associate Fellowship to the Higher Education Academy. He is the Royal Free London, ENT Educational Supervisor and is a member of the London Surgical Training Committee.
He is the Global Health editor for the international magazine ENT and Audiology News and also reviews for multiple academic journals.
