Dr Bhavik Modi is a Consultant Cardiologist, specialising in General and Interventional Cardiology, and currently practices privately in Leicester, Nottingham, and London. He earned his medical degree from Cambridge University and University College London, after which he underwent junior doctor training at prestigious teaching hospitals in London, including Hammersmith, Harefield, Royal Brompton, and University College London Hospitals. Dr Modi was also awarded Membership with the Royal College of Physicians during his training.
Following his training, Dr Modi pursued specialty training in Cardiology and conducted research in Cardiovascular Physiology at St Thomas' Hospital, which was funded by a British Heart Foundation Fellowship. He received his PhD for this work from the University of London. Dr Modi then completed Cardiology training and an Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Barts Heart Centre. He currently works as an NHS consultant at Glenfield Hospital, where he has received several awards for transforming heart attack pathways.
Dr Modi has expertise in all areas of general and interventional cardiology, with a focus on Coronary Artery Disease and Prevention of Coronary Artery Disease. He regularly sees patients with symptoms such as breathlessness, chest pain, high cholesterol, high blood pressure (hypertension), and palpitations. Dr Modi is also recognised as an expert in angioplasty, coronary angiography, and coronary stent insertion.
