The Breast Unit at The Harley Street Clinic

The Harley Street Clinic , 35 Weymouth Street , London., W1G 8BJ

At The Harley Street Clinic, we pride ourselves on offering patients the full spectrum
of breast assessment and care, from diagnosis to surgery to emotional support.

Every patient benefits from our expert multidisciplinary team and consultant-led service and
we use the latest technologies available to achieve fast and accurate diagnosis so that our patients can focus on their treatment and recovery.

A world-class team focused on your needs

Every patient is unique in their symptoms and their needs, which is why we are committed to providing the full range of diagnostic services and treatments. From the moment a patient gets in touch we make sure that their care is tailored to their individual needs, with a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) on hand to guide and support them at every stage.

Our expert multidisciplinary team is composed of consultant breast and oncoplastic surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, oncologists, mammographers and the CNS who all work closely together to attend to all of our patients’ breast care needs. We attract some of the best clinicians in the UK to our facilities and many of them are thought-leaders in the field of oncology.

Fast diagnosis and seamless care

We understand it can be daunting to speak to your doctor about cancer, which is why we make the process as easy as possible. Patients showing symptoms can make same-day bookings for our screening service with appointments available Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm.

In most cases patients even receive their results within the same visit. Patients over 40 years old, who are not displaying symptoms can also self-refer for their screening and a full written report will be sent to then within 48 to 72 hour.

Our multidisciplinary team will then develop a tailored treatment plan if necessary. From chemotherapy treatments and surgery to wellbeing and support services, we can offer patients seamless care within one accessible location.

State-of-the-art technology

We use the best available technology to provide our patients with a clear diagnosis. Our 3D Hologic Mammography Machine can detect even the smallest abnormality in breast tissue, while using low-dose radiation. We also use 3T MRI scans that are particularly sensitive and useful for diagnosing breast cancer in younger women and women with dense breast tissue.

By using pioneering new equipment, we can reduce waiting times and avoid the need for multiple screenings, ensuring our patients can begin treatment as soon as possible.

New and comfortable facilities

By offering a wide range of diagnostic tests and treatments, patients can access our services at every stage of their journey.

Breast cancer screenings take place at our dedicated diagnostics facility at 16 Devonshire Street and we also have an oncology inpatient ward in our main hospital, so patients can quickly and easily access the radiotherapy treatment suites below.

Looking for a second opinion?

A cancer diagnosis can be life-changing and whether or not you have started treatment, a second opinion can provide patients with reassurance and peace of mind. Our world-renowned consultants can provide a full review of your medical history to identify the most appropriate treatment options.

This can help identify new treatment options or confirm that you are already on the right track - regardless, a second opinion can help you make an informed decision about your breast cancer journey. Whatever further treatment you may require, The Harley Street Clinic remains on hand to guide you through your journey.
