Dr. Aathavan Loganayagam is a consultant specializing in gastroenterology and general internal medicine. He trained at Guy's, King's, and St. Thomas' medical schools and completed his specialty training in the South London training program. During his postgraduate training, he served as a research and endoscopy fellow at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals, focusing on pharmacogenetics, inflammatory bowel disease, and gastrointestinal malignancy. Dr. Loganayagam has received awards and grants for his research, including the Innovation London Award, and has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. His clinical expertise includes personalized medicine and novel therapeutic agents for complex inflammatory bowel disease. He is skilled in diagnostic and advanced therapeutic endoscopy, including polypectomy, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), breath testing, oesophageal manometry, therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy, and upper GI endoscopy.
