What to expect: Leaders in Heart Rhythm Care work from a patient-centred approach to care

Whatever the reason for your visit to LHRC at The Wellington Hospital, we want you to feel relaxed and comfortable from the moment you arrive, and fully reassured that you’re in the safest possible hands.

Whether you’re coming to us for your initial consultation, diagnostic tests, a routine corrective procedure – or a combination of different treatments – our patient care teams, headed up by our clinical nurse specialists (CNS), Obed and Usha, will be on hand to make you feel at ease. 

When you arrive we’ll ask you to register, and we’ll run through our Covid-19 safety steps. Someone from the team will be there to meet you and to coordinate any consultations, tests, medication and treatments you may need that day. 

All our procedures are carried out in the cath labs, under local anaesthetic. Your consultant or CNS will go through all the steps with you beforehand, to ensure you know exactly what to expect
