Meet the Team: The Portland Hospital

The Portland Hospital Nursing team

Take a look behind the scenes and meet some of our colleagues from The Portland Hospital, the UK's only private hospital dedicated to care of women, children and their families.

Dan: Paediatric Site Practitioner

Growing up Dan always wanted to work in the medical field and since he joined the team at The Portland Hospital he’s been able to take his career to new heights. Dan tells us a bit more about his career to date, and what his future plans are for a career at HCA UK.

Tania: PICU Deputy Clinical Nurse Manager

Tania always wanted to be a nurse, ever since she was in hospital herself as a 9 year old.  Following a move to the UK she’s developed her career at The Portland Hospital and now works in our PICU as the Deputy Clinical Nurse Manager. Here she tells us more about her passion for nursing, the care she provides to her patients and her career since moving to the UK.

Lorraine: PICU Clinical Nurse Manager

As a leader, Lorraine knows the importance of development and has applied what she’s learnt during her career to her home life, caring for her community like she would for her patients. Here, she talks more about the development opportunities at The Portland Hospital and how the teams work together to make a big difference to both our patients and their families.

Jack: Theatre Manager

Jack joined The Portland Hospital 18 years ago as a fresh faced 21 years old, looking back he says it’s the best decision he’s made in his life. Now working as our Theatre Manager here he talks about how his career has grown over the years with the support of The Portland Hospital team, and how he’s supporting his own team to build their own life long careers with us.

Fiona: Head of Midwifery & Women's Services

Over the years Fiona has seen a number of our Midwives flourish, progressing their career with a network of support around them right through to Matron roles. Here Fiona talks more about our Midwifery services, the career pathways available to our Midwives and what makes working in this department so rewarding.
