Relocating to the UK
Our patients come from all over the world, and so do our people. For many of our roles, we'll provide sponsorship and support to help you work with us in the UK. It's how we care.
Moving to HCA UK
We know that relocating to a new country can be daunting. But we're here to help you every step of the way. From your initial application to your first day in role and beyond, we'll be by your side to make your move to the UK as smooth as possible, ensuring you're informed, supported and welcomed from day one.
Visas and right to work
With a Tier 2 sponsorship licence, we can recruit the best talent overseas as well as in the UK. This licence means we can support General Visas, Health and Care Worker Visas as well as the Intra-company Transfer Visa.
We’re able to issue Certificates of Sponsorship, which permits you, as a candidate, to apply for leave to enter the UK for the purpose of their new job.
Our brilliant onboarding team will then support you through the process, step by step – right through to when you arrive in the UK for your first day of work and the months following.
Relocating to the UK
You’re not on your own when it comes to moving. We’ll contribute towards your relocation expenses and your Visa costs, plus your airfare to the UK will be taken care of. We’ll also organise transportation from the airport to your accommodation when you arrive. Your accommodation will be at an approved site within easy reach of your place of work and your first three months of rent will be covered by HCA UK.
There’s lots to learn about UK life. So, we’ll give you a thorough induction along with a starter kit that includes a £100 supermarket voucher, one-month free travel card, and a few other home essentials. We’ll also give you a dedicated HCA UK buddy, who’ll be on hand to answer any questions you have.
Registering with professional bodies
If you’re joining us from outside the EU in a role that requires a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registration, you’ll initially need to complete an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). We’ll give you the support you need to complete it, including comprehensive training and funding the exam costs.
Many reasons to make the move
As well as fantastic facilities and the support of our welcoming and encouraging teams, you’ll enjoy lots of opportunities to develop and progress your career with us.
