  Mr Alastair Windsor is a specialist colorectal surgeon in London. He is widely regarded as a leader in the field of colorectal disease. He has a national and international reputation with a busy specialist referral practice in the management of surgical abdominal complications, which include the management of complex cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. He is a Board Member of the British Hernia Society and also has a specialist referral practice and research interest in abdominal wall hernias. He is head of the abdominal wall unit at UCLH. He is a founder member of Surgical European Crohn’s and Colitis Organization and has been a contributing author for European and UK guidelines on the management of IBD.
  
  Mr Windsor also maintains a busy clinical practice in the broader aspects of colorectal surgery including minimal access (keyhole) surgery, endoscopy (colonoscopy), colorectal cancer, Crohn’s and Colitis, diverticular disease, prolapse and incontinence, IBS and proctology (haemorrhoids, fistula, fissure, pilonidal disease etc). He has over one hundred and fifty publications and book chapters and remains a committed surgical trainer and educator.
