Mr Alastair Windsor

In respect of Princess Grace Hospital, Mr Windsor acts as clinical lead and advisor for colorectal surgery at the hospital. In this role, he provides professional advice on the management of colorectal surgical services, including liaison where appropriate with hospital leadership and relevant governance leads to improve patient pathways and the development of safe colorectal surgery service and bowel cancer treatments at the hospital.

 

Mr Windsor also provides service to HCA in support of the development of colorectal surgery services (including bowel screening) across all our facilities. In this role, he works with other specialists at HCA and in the healthcare sector generally.

 

HCA UK is charged by doctors in return for their expertise and advice, including on how to operate safe hospital facilities delivering complex care. All services provided under this agreement are charged to HCA UK. In 2020, the total paid for these services was £114,810. Until 31 August, the total paid for these services in 2021 is £131,513.

 

HCA requires the doctors that advise us to attest that if they also practice in the NHS that they are not compromising their NHS commitments.
