Mr Corbett qualified from St Thomas Hospital, London in 1990. During his surgical training, he was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) for his work on fracture healing. He also undertook a Travelling Orthopaedic Fellowship in Annecy, France. Mr Corbett was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon, Guys and St Thomas Hospitals, London, specialising in Upper Limb Surgery (2003). He is also regularly a Faculty member at International and National Shoulder and Elbow meetings and often teaches surgical techniques both in the UK and abroad. He was the Critical Reviewer of the Upper Limb chapters in Grays Anatomy and is a named reviewer for several medical journals, including the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. Mr Corbett has appeared frequently on the BBC City Hospital programme discussing and demonstrating upper limb surgery, including live surgery. He also has research interests in upper limb trauma, particularly clavicle fractures and acromioclavicular joint injuries, rotator cuff tears and the treatment of tennis elbow . He is a member of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society, the British Orthopaedic Research Society and the British Orthopaedic Society.
