Clinical Nurse Specialist – Skin / Lung Cancer
Private Care at Guy’s, London

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience + benefits

When you step into a Clinical Nurse Specialist role, you’re choosing to lead care, guide patients through some of their most difficult moments, and shape how services evolve. At Private Care at Guy’s, you’ll be trusted to do just that — supported by a close-knit team and a wider network that values collaboration, learning, and clinical excellence.

You’ll join a small, experienced CNS team where your voice is heard and your expertise respected. Whether your background is in skin or lung cancer, or broader oncology, what matters most is your ability to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care and confidently manage your own caseload. This is a role where you can deepen your clinical leadership, contribute to service development, and work closely alongside leading consultants in a highly supportive environment.

At HCA Healthcare UK, you’ll experience a culture that blends clinical excellence with genuine care for our people. You’ll have the autonomy to lead your practice, the support to keep growing, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful improvements in patient care.

At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.

What you’ll do

You’ll work as an autonomous Clinical Nurse Specialist, managing a defined patient caseload across inpatient and outpatient settings. Your role will focus on delivering holistic, coordinated care while supporting patients and their families throughout their treatment pathway.

  • Lead on inpatient and outpatient reviews, including consultant-led and nurse-led clinics
  • Coordinate patient care, completing holistic needs assessments and supporting treatment pathways
  • Work closely with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, evidence-based care
  • Act as a clinical expert, providing guidance and education to colleagues and patients
  • Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring

You’ll already be working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and feel confident leading care, influencing practice, and supporting others.

  • Registered Nurse with NMC registration and a relevant post-registration qualification
  • At least one year’s experience working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist
  • Strong background in oncology, with exposure to medical, clinical or surgical oncology
  • Confidence in autonomous practice, caseload management, and clinical decision-making
  • Passion for education, leadership, and continuous improvement
