Shift times: Monday – Sunday (flexibility to work long days, Nights & weekends 8AM - 8:30PM and 8PM - 8:30AM)

Salary: Competitive plus 9% shift allowance
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Staff Nurse to join our dynamic and diverse team on the Medical Ward at Princess Grace Hospital.

The successful candidate must have good decision-making skills, enhance clinical experience with good managerial skills in managing and leading the day-to-day operations of a busy Medical Ward. You will play a key role in delivering safe, effective and patient centered care within a dynamic acute medical environment, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to work with our dedicated team of Medical Consultants from a wide range of medical specialities.
Our Acute Medicine pathway provides a 24/7 service, providing immediate access to care in our Acute Admission Unit or via our Urgent Care Centre, ensuring patients receive the best possible treatment - whenever they need it. You will use your knowledge and expertise to manage acutely unwell patients and work with our multi-disciplinary team to support our First-Hour pathway for Acute Medical admissions to ensure timely assessment, intervention, treatment and deliver high-quality care.
This position is based within our 19-bedded Acute Medical Ward, caring for a diverse cohort of patients with acute medical needs with a range of complex care needs. The ward also supports a post-operative pathway for breast surgery patients alongside a range of day case procedures, including iron infusions and interventional radiology procedures (e.g. biopsies).

What you’ll bring:
Essential:
Registered Nurse (NMC) and PREP requirements
Proven experience in Acute Medical Ward/ AAU / A&E (with desire to move to ward-based environment)
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Passion for delivering high-quality patient care
Desirable:
Demonstrated leadership or experience acting as nurse in charge
Previous Senior Staff Nurse or equivalent experience
Teaching/Mentorship qualification
Experience in private healthcare
