We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Manager – Content Strategy to join our Marketing team at HCA Healthcare UK, where you’ll lead the direction and delivery of our content strategy.

As a strategic leader and hands-on practitioner, you’ll shape the narratives that define who we are: developing high-level messaging frameworks, guiding multi-channel content planning, and producing compelling, high-quality copy yourself when needed. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to influence decision-making, translate complex briefs into clear strategic plans, and ensure our content consistently reflects our values, our purpose and our commitment to exceptional patient care.

You will lead and develop a high performing content team, setting consistency, creativity and excellence across all digital and traditional channels. What you’ll do:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement integrated content strategies and engagement programmes that elevate brand reputation, engagement and support wider organisational goals.
  • Shape and refine messaging frameworks for patient, clinical and corporate audiences.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify communication opportunities, risks and best practice approaches.‑practice approaches.
  • Translate complex briefs into clear, structured and impactful content plans across multiple channels.
  • Establish, monitor and optimise KPIs that drive performance, engagement and continuous improvement.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing content and copywriting team
  • Set clear goals, expectations and development plans that support growth, performance and accountability
  • Oversee and approve editorial calendars across platforms.
  • Build a collaborative, supportive team culture grounded in creativity, ownership and high standards.
  • Champion effective ways of working to ensure the team is structured, resourced and supported to deliver consistently high-quality content.‑quality content.

What you’ll bring

  • 7+ years’ experience in content strategy, content marketing or editorial management.
  • Proven leadership experience, including developing direct reports and managing managers.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering multi‑channel content strategies at scale.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong strategic and critical-thinking ability.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and working collaboratively across functions.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills within a fast-paced environment.‑management and organisational skills within a fast‑paced environment.
  • Understanding of digital marketing channels, analytics and compliance—ideally within healthcare.
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field (professional marketing qualification desirable).
