Here for you

Our dedicated international team is here to support patients and visitors from all over the world, both before and during treatment. We can also arrange the entire overseas referral process, from pre-arrival through to follow-up care. We're the largest private healthcare provider to patients travelling to the UK from around the world for medical treatment. Life-saving treatment can, quite often, be unavailable to patients in their home country. This is why governments and embassies from around the world can sponsor their patients to come to one of our facilities for treatment with our leading consultants. We can arrange translators to help you during your visit to one of our facilities. We can also help arrange transport both to and from the hospital/airport. We'll help find suitable accommodation for visitors and relatives. And, we'll make your experience as comfortable and convenient as possible.

Help and support

  • The first steps to becoming a patient icon plus

Please get in touch with HCA Healthcare UK using the contact details at the bottom of this page. We'll let you know what the next steps are.

  • Completing a medical report and referral form icon plus

You'll need to fill in the international patient centre referral form and send it to us with a medical report. Then please either email these to intl.marketing@hcahealthcare.co.uk or fax it to: +44 (0) 20 7079 4399.

Once we've received your medical report and referral form, it will be sent to the appropriate consultant for review. They will review your case and arrange for an appointment to be made.

  • Estimating how much treatment will cost icon plus

You'll be sent an estimate of how much your treatment will cost and the amount of time you'll need to stay in the UK for your treatment and follow-up care.

  • Your appointment date and final cost icon plus

We'll send you a letter confirming your appointment date and details. We'll also send you a cost guide. It's possible that the final cost of your treatment may be more than the guide price. We can only provide approximate costs until your consultant has seen you, ordered tests and decided on a course of treatment.

  • Confirming your appointment icon plus

Once we've booked your appointment, you'll need to confirm your appointment seven working days before it's scheduled. You can do this either by phone (+44 20 7034 8161), fax (+44 20 7759 3825) or email internationalreferrals@hcahealthcare.co.uk. If you're unable to attend for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible so we can reschedule for another date or time.

  • Arranging your visa icon plus

Once your appointment is confirmed and we've received payment, we'll send you a 'confirmation to treat' letter. This letter will help you in your visa application process. We're here to help and guide you throughout the visa application process. Remember, we have no influence on UK immigration policies. Securing an appointment and getting a letter from us does not guarantee your visa application will be successful.

  • Insurance and sponsorship icon plus

    If you have health insurance:
    - We work with health insurance companies from all over the world. Contact your insurer for information about how to access an HCA hospital under your policy.

If your government is sponsoring your treatment:
