As a highly skilled healthcare professional passionate about patient care and clinical excellence, I am confident I would make a valuable addition to your team.
I qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2005. I completed his foundation training in East Lancashire before relocating to London for higher specialist training at University College London, the Royal Free London, Barnet and North Middlesex Hospitals.
I obtained my Master's in fetal medicine and prenatal genetics at University College London (UCL) with distinction. In 2011, I was awarded a Wellcome Trust SPARKS research training fellowship, which enabled me to complete my PhD studies at UCL. My research focuses on treating genetic blood disorders through the transplantation of stem cells or gene therapy for the fetus.
I subspecialised in Maternal and Fetal Medicine at St Thomas' and King's College Hospitals.
I worked for four years under Professor Catherine Nelson Piercy, Professor Kypros Nicolaides, Dr Sri Sankaran, Dr Surabhi Nanda, and Dr Anita Banerjee. During my subspecialty training, I worked in specialised clinics such as complex fetal medicine clinics, fetal urology, gestational diabetes, hypertension in pregnancy, multiple pregnancy, fetal cardiology, genetics and perinatal pathology.
I am currently a Maternal and Fetal medicine consultant at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and a Senior Clinical Lecturer at King's College London, where I am an academic co-lead for the BRC DTP PhD program and a research project supervisor (laboratory and library) for BSc, MSc and PhD students.
I have a proven track record of working effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive, holistic patient care. I am also comfortable using the latest healthcare technologies and electronic medical records to ensure accurate and efficient documentation and communication.
In addition, I am committed to ongoing professional development and am constantly seeking opportunities to enhance my skills and knowledge
