Double fellowship trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Mr Kinner Davda is based at Wycombe General Hospital and Stoke Mandeville Hospital (Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust) and specialises in all kinds of disorders of the foot and ankle. Mr Davda also offers private consultations at BMI The Chiltern and The Shelburne Hospitals in Buckinghamshire and HCA The Wellington Hospital Elstree Waterfront. Mr Davda's practice encompasses the full spectrum of foot and ankle conditions, including sport injuries, arthritis, childhood conditions, diabetic feet and all aspects of trauma.
After graduating with a medical degree in 2001 from the University of Nottingham, Mr Davda went on to specialist orthopaedic training primarily focused on foot and ankle surgery and lower limb reconstruction as part of the North West Thames Orthopaedic Programme, based mainly at St Mary’s and Charing Cross Hospitals. He then went on to develop his skills and experience in treating complex foot and ankle conditions further through training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, a fellowship in Windsor, The Royal Surrey County and Frimley Park Hospitals, as well as a year at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford.
Mr Davda also achieved a PhD degree focused in computer-assisted orthopaedic surgery from Imperial College London. He also devotes a lot of his time outside of clinical practice to teaching, regularly lecturing and training surgeons sitting their consultant FRCS exam courses, as well as presenting at foot and ankle society seminars. He is also Honorary Senior Lecturer and an undergraduate tutor to medical students at the University of Oxford and the University of Buckingham.
Mr Davda has presented at several national and international meetings and has published a lot of his orthopaedic research in high impact medical journals. He also meets regularly with a regional group of foot and ankle surgeons to share insights and discuss complex cases, in order to ensure that the best possible opinions on appropriate treatment options and management strategies can be sought.
In order to support his evidence-based approach to treatment, Mr Davda ensures to stay abreast of the latest literature and advancements in his field, and seeks to maintain continual professional development through regular attendance at international meetings.
