Dr. Christina Leitner is a UK-trained consultant dermatologist with many years of experience, based in Edgbaston, Birmingham. She sees adult patients (18 years and above) for a range of dermatological issues including eczema, psoriasis, acne, and other inflammatory skin conditions. She also specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, as well as managing moles, lumps and bumps, chronic sun damage, pruritus (itchy skin), hair loss, and pigmentation disturbances.

Dr. Leitner has gained a wealth of experience in dermatology over more than a decade, working in various regions across the UK, including Manchester, Cambridge, and the West Midlands since 2011. Her first post as a consultant dermatologist was at the NHS University Hospitals in Cardiff, Wales, followed by a substantive position at Worcestershire Hospitals NHS Trust until 2023.

With a keen interest in skin cancer and dermatological surgery, Dr. Leitner completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and skin cancer management. She enjoys complex skin surgeries and repairs, finding a good surgical outcome most rewarding. She also served as the skin cancer multidisciplinary team lead at Worcestershire NHS Hospitals Trust for several years.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Leitner is committed to advancing her knowledge in dermatology and aesthetic medicine, having completed a Master's in Skin Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine at the University of Manchester. Throughout her career, she has supported the training of junior health professionals, contributed to research studies, and presented at national and international conferences. She has published articles in several international journals.

Dr. Leitner is a member of the British Society of Dermatological Surgery, a subgroup of the British Association of Dermatologists, and the British Medical Association.
