Lorna's background

Lorna joined London Bridge Hospital in 2024, having worked across a number of industry sectors in senior HR roles over the past 26 years. In her last role Lorna was the Chief Operating Officer for a luxury group of care homes and successfully led the organisation to achieve three Investors in People Platinum accreditations (including we invest in people Wellbeing), two outstanding CQC ratings, Hospitality Assured World Class and ISO9001. Lorna has completed her post graduate diploma in personnel management, a level five coaching qualification, various psychometric courses and is a trained mediator. Lorna is a Fellow of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel Development).

Lorna is passionate about making a difference to the lives of others and believes that a person- centred leadership approach enables high engagement which in turn drives an outstanding experience for our patients. Lorna is passionate about team member engagement and wellbeing and has pro-actively driven mental health awareness strategies at her previous organisations, more recently becoming a Mental Health First Aid Instructor with MHFA England and training more than 80 people to be Mental Health First Aiders in their workplace. Lorna believes that everyone should have the opportunity to bring their whole self to work and that this drives happiness and fulfilment in all areas of life.
