Stem cell and bone marrow transplant
At HCA UK at UCH, our quality-assured haematopoietic stem cell transplant service provides safe and comprehensive treatment for blood cancers, red cell disorders and autoimmune conditions. Our service is JACIE accredited, an independent accreditation that recognises high quality patient care.
Stem cell transplant or bone marrow transplant is a type of treatment that replaces damaged blood cells with healthy ones. Stem cell transplants are a complex medical procedure and can only be provided at specialist centres. They have been used to treat blood cancers and disorders for many years, and more recently have been used to treat some auto-immune conditions, specifically Multiple Sclerosis.
Our highly specialised teams of haematology consultants and senior nurses are experienced in multiple transplant techniques, including autologous, allogeneic, cord blood and haplo-identicle stem cell transplants.
Through our combined expertise, clinical best practice and shared learning we are committed to providing high quality, standardised care for all patients.
