  Dr Sidwell holds a consultant NHS post in West Herts NHS Trust, Hertfordshire, and is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and the Royal Society of Medicine. She received her medical degree from Bristol University Medical School, Bristol, where she undertook her general medical and paediatric training, obtaining her membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, and Paediatrics and Child Health. She completed her dermatology specialist training in London, in the Chelsea and Westminster and Charing Cross Hospitals.

  Dr Sidwell has an interest in medical education, and is author of several medical textbooks including at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. She is also involved in dermatology specialist registrar and GP teaching within the clinical setting, and teaches annually on the St Johns Institute/Royal College of Physicians Genital Dermatology course.
