    Mr Raj Bhattacharya is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London. He is the Lead Orthopaedic Surgeon for the North West London Major Trauma Centre, based at St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London. His main clinical interests include all aspects of knee surgery including joint replacement, sports injuries, multi-ligament reconstruction and meniscal and cartilage surgery. He is also a specialist Trauma Surgeon, treating routine and complex trauma and fractures in adults and children.

    Mr Bhattacharya also has active research interests in these areas and has published in several peer-reviewed journals and presented his work at various National and International forums. He has been heavily involved in the teaching and training of medical students initially at Newcastle University, and subsequently at the University of Edinburgh and currently continues to do so at the Imperial College Medical School.
