Following medical qualification from Newcastle Upon Tyne University in 1987, I trained in the Midlands and Australia.

I was awarded the prestigious Royal Brisbane Infirmary Otolaryngology Fellowship in 1997 and spent a year there enhancing my otological and rhinological skills in particular.

In 1999 I was appointed to the post of ENT Consultant at the University Hospitals of Leicester and since then I have practised privately in both the Midlands and London.

My practice covers all aspects of ENT but I run specialist clinics in rhinoplasty and balance disorders.

I have served on several national committees and was Vice President of the Section of Otology at the Royal Society of Medicine as well as Secretary of the British Society for Otology.

In 2013 I was one of 3 specialists to found the British Society of Rhinoplasty Surgeons. This is now an established society encompassing leading rhinoplasty surgeons in the UK with international links holding annual meetings with world class guest lecturers in London each year.

I have lectured on rhinoplasty techniques in the UK and abroad and am part of a teaching programme for trainee rhinoplasty surgeons in the UK.

My Specialist Balance Clinics have been running in the Midlands and London for over fifteen years and I regularly lecture on balance disorders both in the UK and abroad.

I have extensive experience in nose reshaping procedures also known as rhinoplasty, septoplasty and septorhinoplasty operations. These procedures are sometimes referred to as 'nosejobs'. I have performed these for over eighteen years. I regularly operate on patients with congenital or post traumatic nasal deformities who have varying degrees of functional and cosmetic nasal problems.. I also have extensive experience in ear reshaping procedures such as pinnaplasty for a variety of ear deformities sometimes referred to as 'bat ears' or 'lop ears'.
I have designed and published an operation to reconstruct the ear canal in patients with extreme problems. I have lectured on this new procedure and others like it, in the UK and abroad.
