    Following her training in the West Midlands and North West Deaneries, Miss Williams became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (1998) and, the following year, was accredited for colposcopy. In 2005 she was awarded an MD for her studies of postpartum anal sphincter morbidity, before discovering her subspecialty of urogynaecology during training for her obstetrics and gynaecology specialty in Liverpool. In 2006, Miss Williams joined the Royal Bolton Hospital as a consultant gynaecologist where her practice offers diagnosis for abnormal smears by colposcopy, and for incontinence via urodynamics. She also provides treatment for incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and gynaecological conditions such as chronic pelvic pain, menstrual disorders, postpartum problems and sexual dysfunction. Miss Williams continues to carry out research, focusing on pelvic floor dysfunction and clinical trials for prolapse repair surgery.
